| June 2001: This temporary road will eventually be dug out to form the canal bed. | AUG 2003 We have laid about 26 metres of bentomat. |
March 2004 we excavated to a near final bed level. We continued the work we started last year, levelling the canal to the final level under the canal bridge.
WAT & BITM August Canal Camp 2004
The main aim of the August Camp was to have an onslaught of laying bentonite and concreting.
We were taking delivery of 10 to 11 lorries a day of concrete, each lorry containing roughly 4.5 cubic metres of concrete.
